Red Bull Supercars drivers Broc Feeney and Will Brown have taken on a challenge in a Formula 1 car alongside former drivers Scott Speed and Brendon Hartley as hosts.

The two Australian drivers took the wheel of the Red Bull RB7 at The Bend Motorsport Park in their home country, and ended up smashing the lap record on the 3.4km West Circuit.

After losing out on a rock-paper-scissors match with Brown, Feeney hopped in the car first. "It's feeling pretty real about now," he said as he put his helmet on in the cockpit. "F*** me, it's small in here," he added.

His first timed lap came in at 1m11.3s, and he continued to shave off time by the end of the five laps. "Oh my goodness, that's so fun, thank you. I'm so sore," he said as he returned to the garage.

Then it was Brown's turn to get into the car. "Where do I start it again?" he asked, before being reminded there is no start button on an F1 car. The 27-year-old driver's first lap was a bit shaky after stalling and locking up at the first corner, but as the driver continued to bank laps, he eventually found his stride.

Ultimately, it was Feeney who came out on top with a time of 1m06.6s compared to Brown's best time of 1m07.9s.

Red Bull RB7

The Red Bull RB7 was driven by Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber during the 2011 F1 season. The V8-powered car claimed 12 race wins and 27 podiums during the season, which was enough to claim the constructors' championship title for the Milton Keynes outfit, and Vettel secured his second of four drivers' championships.

The RB7 has since been driven by the likes of Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen, Liam Lawson and David Coulthard at various show runs.
